Valerie Murphy
Valerie Murphy  is a co-founder of Mary of the Angelus Prayer Mission.  
She has spent over 30 Years teaching, mentoring and training in ministry and retreat work.

Angelus cell groups promote a life of prayer incorporating contemplative prayer, inner healing and intercessory prayer.  The Charism of the Angelus is Spiritual Poverty.
 Valerie is a mother and grandmother and with her husband Paul offers retreats and home-stay visits at Angelus House in Lismore for those seeking prayers and Inner Healing from the effects of rejection and abusive life experiences

Lenore Parker
Is a Pastor and Ministers to many Aboriginal Communities within the Clarence Valley  of Northern New South Wales.

She has been a representative for Aboriginals on the Angelus Management Board for the past ten years and is actively involved with all forms of outreach and prayer ministry. Lenore is a representative for the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Anglican Community. She accepts many teaching and speaking engagements locally and nationally to bring the good news of Christ’ healing love.

Lenore is a founding member of the Magpie Group (Black & white praying together for the reconciliation of the land and its people

NATSIAC Gathering 2014

Valerie Murphy was invited to be a guest speaker at the National Aboriginal Conference for the Anglican Church about Generational Healing. The Angelus Group from Maclean also attended the Conference. The first day of the conference we were part of a group that sailed the mighty Clarence River. Many of you will know Angelus Member Rev. Lenore Parker who graciously introduced us to many of her Anglican Colleagues, Priests and Bishops from all around Australia. Then we were given the opportunity to address a group at the end of the conference on Inner Healing.

This has resulted in further enquiry to have another day of Healing with our friends in different locations around Australia. Thank you for your prayer support and I appreciated the physical support of the Yamba and McLean members who joined us for the day.

Ordination to the Deaconate of an Angelus Member

All members are invited to Lenore Parker’s ordination into the Anglican Church as the first Aboriginal woman in this Diocese to be ordained as a Deacon as part of her progress to ordination as an Anglican priest. It will be a wonderful day and a celebration of her many years of ministry to the indigenous and the non-indigenous communities.

Lenore has helped us in many ways to reach out across cultural barriers to share the love of Jesus in our hearts with each other.
